Sofia’s topic for this week’s Lens Artist Photo Challenge is Exposure. I took these photos in my garden just now and was in a hurry to go back in because as they say, “It’s Hayfever Hell” here in Melbourne!
Beauty is subjective and in my opinion, taking photos with the correct exposure is too! No explanation … sometimes I just find that using bokeh (oh yes I learned that term from LAPC) is the way to go.

Or it may be a matter of preference. Like in Goldilocks… it may be a bit light, or too dark or just right.

These shots were taken yesterday. The amount of exposure puts emphasis to details and makes the photo more pleasing to the eyes!

The water droplets are a stunning abstract. I love the bokeh effect of the succulents, as you mentioned a lens artists challenge. Sofia is certainly one to make us think. Nice addition to the challenge.

Love your Bokeh effects, Teresa, and that’s such an unusual rainy leaf shot. 🤗💗

The leaf kinda looks weird I think. Thanks for stopping by, Jo!

You’re spot on, Teresa, with your words and beautiful photos. It’s funny but I rather like all your different exposures for the yellow rose, for me they are all perfect. And I do love your droplets on the leaf, wonderful composition.

You’ve found some great subjects in your garden to play around with exposure! I agree with you that the hotel on the succulents shot is the best option, amd I love your underexposed rose 😀

Thanks Sarah! Was just wondering where the hotel was. 😂😂😂 (on your comment)

Wonderful examples Teresa – and I especially loved that you credited L-A with your bokeh, it’s one of my favorite kinds of photography. I especially loved what you did with that image.

Your leaf photo with the raindrops… it almost look like something that one can eat … you know, like candy 🍬.
